General Description:

Poppy seeds are tiny seeds widely used in Indian cooking. In North India it is used in few recipes but It is widely used in Bengali cuisine and in Oriya cooking. In North poppy seed, saffron and dry fruits hot milk is famous beverages in the weddings.
