Kalley Chaney Masala

Spice Brown Chick Pea

Serving 4-6 persons

Ingredients

2 CupsBoiled Kalley Channey (Brown Chick Pea)
2 TeaspoonGinger Paste
2 Chopped Green Chillies
0.5 CupCooking Oil

Dry Spices

1 TeaspoonCumin Seeds
1 TeaspoonGaram Masala
1 TeaspoonTurmeric Powder
1 TeaspoonCoriander
2 PinchesHing Powder (Asafetida)
Salt to Taste

For Garnishing

2 TablespoonsFinely Chopped Coriander leaves

 

Method

  1. In a large skillet heat the oil. Add hing and then add cumin seeds when they start crackling add add ginger and chopped green chilies and cook it for another 1 minute.

  2. Now add all the dry masalas one by one and cook for 1 minute . Cook masala for 1 minutes at low flame. Then add 1 table spoon of of water.

  3. Now add Kalley Chaney and cook it for 5 minutes and stirring it in between at medium flame.

  4. Remove it from the flame and garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it with puri or prantha.
