Moong Dal Vada
Green Gram Bean savoury fritter snack

|1 Cup||Moong Dal|
|1 Medium||Grated Onion (optional)|
|2 ||Finely Chopped Green Chillies|
|1 Tablespoon||Ginger Paste|
|1 Teaspoon||Coriander Powder|
|1 Tablespoon||Garam Masala|
|1 Tablespoon||Finely Chopped Coriander leaves|
|2 Teaspoon||Mango Powder or|
|1 Tablespoon||Pomegranate powder|
|2 Pinches||Hing Powder (Asafetida)|

Soak Dal for 2 hours in 2 cups of water. In an another small bowl.
Then drain the water and ground it coarsely in a food processor adding a little of water, make sure that it should not be grinded in to paste and it should be thick.
In a bowl add dal , green chili, coriander powder, garam masala, Finely chopped coriander leaves, Hing powder, grated onion, kasoori methi, salt to taste, 1 tea spoon of mango powder and mix it well. The batter should be thick if not add a little besan to it.
Now Heat oil in an frying pan. Drop a little of batter if it comes up right away that means oil is perfect.
Now make small size of balls with the dal batter and drop them one by one in to the frying pan. Do not over crowd the frying pan. The flame should be medium high.
When they are all done serve them with imly (Tamarind) ki chutney, puddiney (Mint) ki chutney and tea.
