Zucchini Dhokla

Steamed Gram Flour snack with Zucchini

Serving 2-4 persons

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 25 minutes

 

Ingredients

1.5 CupsGram Flour (Besan)
1 CupShredded Zucchini
1 TablespoonLemon Juice
2 TablespoonsYogurt
1 TeaspoonSugar
1 PinchAsafetida Powder
1 TablespoonChopped Green Chilies
1 Garlic Clove Mashed
1 TablespoonGreen Coriander Finely Chopped
Salt To Taste

Ingredients For Tempering

1 TeaspoonWhite Sesame Seeds
1 TeaspoonMustard Seeds
1 TeaspoonGreen Chilies Chopped
1 TablespoonGreen Coriander Finely Chopped
5 Curry Leaves (Optional)

 

Method

  1. Mix all the Ingredients from the section 1 in a bowl .Make a cake like batter if need water add some.

  2. In a large pan boil water up to inch and half. Grease a cake pan and add batter.

  3. Steam the cake pan with batter and cover the pan. steam it for 20 minutes. keep checking in between add more water in the pan if it get evaporated. Insert a toothpick in the steamed dhokla and if comes clean turn of the stove and remove pan from the pan and keep it aide to cool down.

  4. In a small pan add 2 table spoon of oil heat it add mustard seeds and sesame seeds when start splutter add green chilies and coriander leaves. Do it on simmer stove remove from the stove and spread on to the dhokla.

  5. Cut dhokla in desirable size and serve it hot with green or tamarind chutney
