Fried Potato fritters in Garbanzo bean flour

Serving 4-6 persons

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 25 minutes



1.5 CupGaram Flour
4 LargePotatoes
2 TablespoonsFinely Chopped Green Chillies
2 TablespoonsFinely Chopped Green Coriander
1 TeaspoonCoriander Powder
1 TeaspoonGaram Masala
1 TablespoonMango Powder or Pomegranate Powder
3 CupsFor Deep Frying
Salt To Taste



  1. Wash the potatoes and keep them aside.

  2. Now in a bowl add besan, green chili, coriander powder, garam masala, Finely chopped coriander leaves and mix it with water and make batter. Add salt to the batter. Batter should not be too runny or too thick.

  3. Now Heat a oil in an frying pan. Drop a little of batter if it comes up right away that means oil is perfect.

  4. Now dip potatoes in the batter and drop them in to the frying pan in batches do not over crowd them and fry them on medium high flame.

  5. When they are all done serve them with imly (Tamarind) ki chutney and puddiney (Mint) ki chutney.
