Makhana Kheer

Puffed Lotus seed milk pudding

Serving 2-4 persons

2 CupsPhool Makhana
4 CupsMilk
2 TablespoonsOil
0.5 CupCrushed Peanuts
3 TablespoonShredded Dry Coconut
0.5 CupSugar



  1. In an pan boil milk and then turn the flame down to medium.

  2. Heat milk for 20 minutes and keep stirring in between. After 10 minutes add peanuts to the milk.

  3. Cut makhana in to half.

  4. In an frying pan heat 1 tablespoon of oil and fry one cup of makhana at medium flame. Take out one makhana if its crunchy that means its done remove them from the pan and fry second batch following same steps.

  5. Now add sugar to the milk stir it well then add makhana and shredded coconut. Mix It well and remove it from the flame.

  6. This dish can be served as breakfast or as dessert after dinner.

You can adjust the quantity of sugar to your taste.
