Methi Walli Mathri

Fried Salty flaky biscuit made with wheat flour and Fenugreek

Serving 10-15 persons

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 30 minutes



2 CupsAll Purpose Flour/Wheat Flour
1 CupDried Fenugreek/ Sukhi Methi
1 TeaspoonBaking Powder
1 TeaspoonCarom Seeds/ Ajwain
2 TablespoonsOil
Salt to Taste
2 CupsOil For Deep Frying



  1. In an pan take flour mix fenugreek leaves in to it. Add Salt , Carom seeds and baking powder and mix it well. Now add 2 tablespoon oil and kneed it with water.

  2. Do not add too much water dough should be on the harder side.

  3. Heat oil in a frying pan.

  4. Make small size balls from the dough and press it between the pals of your hands.

  5. Deep fry them on medium flame. Fry them in batches.

  6. Serve them with tea or cofee.

These madris can be stored for few weeks.
