Potato Rolls

Potatoes with Spices rolled in bread and fried

Serving 2-3 persons

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 10-15 minutes



4 LargeBoiled Potatoes
8 Slices of Bread
1 LargeOnion
2 Finely Chopped Green Chillies
1 TablespoonGinger Paste
1 TeaspoonCoriander Powder
1 TablespoonGaram Masala
1 TablespoonFinely Chopped Coriander leaves
1 TeaspoonMango Powder (Optional)
1 TablespoonKasoori Methi (optional)
2 CupsOil to fry the rolls
Salt to Taste



  1. Mash the potatoes In a bowl and add green chili, ginger paste, coriander powder, garam masala, finely chopped onions and finely chopped coriander leaves.

  2. Now add salt to taste, Kasoori methi, mango powder to the mashed potato mixture

  3. Now Heat a oil in an frying pan. Drop a piece of bread if it turns brown that means oil is ready.

  4. Now cut the sides of the bread and sock one slice in water and press it with hand so all the water drains away now put a table spoon of potato mixture in the bread and close it in a round ball or elliptical ball. Now repeat the process with other bread slices too.

  5. Now fry them in the frying pan at medium high flame.

  6. When they are all done serve them in a serving plate serve them with imly (Tamarind) ki chutney and puddiney (Mint) ki chutney and Masala Tea.
