Tadka Dahi

Fried Yogurt Mix

Serving 4-6 persons

Preparation Time: 10 minutes



2 CupsYogurt
1 Cupwater
2 TablespoonsGreen Coriander leaves finely chopped
1 TablespoonGreen Chillies Finely Chopped
Salt to Taste

Ingredients for Tadka

2 TablespoonsOil
1 TeaspoonCumin Seeds
0.5 TeaspoonTurmeric Powder
0.5 TeaspoonGaram Masala



  1. In a frying pan heat the oil and add cumin seeds to it. When it starts turning brown add turmeric powder and garam masala.

  2. Fry it for one minute and remove it from the flame. Keep it aside to cool down.

  3. In a bowl add yogurt and water and mix it smooth. Now add green chilies, coriander leaves and salt and mix it.

  4. If the Tadka fry is cold spread it over the yogurt. The Tadka Dahi is ready to be served with any curry, any vegetable or pilaf.

The Tadka should not be added if its too hot cause it will curdle the yogurt. You can adjust the quantity of water depending upon the consistency of yogurt.
