Zucchini Ki Sabji

Zucchini prepared with selected spices

Serving 2-3 persons

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 15 minutes



500 GramsZucchini
2 TeaspoonsGarlic Paste
2 TeaspoonsGinger Paste
1 TeaspoonGreen Chilli Paste
1 MediumFinely Chopped Onion
1 MediumDiced Fresh Tomato or
2 TablespoonsTomato Paste
0.5 CupCooking Oil

Dry Spices

1 TeaspoonCumin Seeds/ Zeera
2 TeaspoonsGaram Masala
1 TeaspoonTurmeric Powder (Haldi)
2 TeaspoonsCoriander Powder
Salt to taste


2 TablespoonsFinely Chopped Coriander leaves



  1. Wash, and cut Zucchini in small pieces.

  2. In a Frying Pan heat oil and add cumin seeds .When they starts crackling add onions and fry them till they turns golden brown.

  3. Now add garlic , ginger and green chili paste and cook it for 1 minute.

  4. Then add all the dry spices one by one followed by 1 table spoon of water and cook for another 1 minute.

  5. Now add fresh tomatoes or tomato paste. Cook it till the masala leaves the oil. Add Zucchini to the masala and cook it up to 5 minutes at high flame.

  6. Then turn the flame to medium and cook sabji for 10-15 minutes. When it is done put it in a serving bowl and garnish it with coriander leaves, and serve it with chapatti or pranthas.
